Key Responsibilities

Create comprehensive technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and guides, to help customers and engineers learn about Postgres, MySQL, Vitess, and the PlanetScale ecosystem.
Represent PlanetScale at conferences, events, and online, delivering engaging talks and presentations to share our vision and expertise.
Develop and refine our product documentation to ensure it's accurate, up-to-date, and user-friendly.
Host live webinars and livestreams to connect with our community, answer questions, and share knowledge.
Collaborate with our engineering team to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and features, and share that knowledge with the community.
Travel up to 50% of the time to attend events, conferences, and meetups worldwide to connect with developers and promote PlanetScale.

Requirements & Qualifications

Teaching experience or a background in education, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way.
Expertise in full-stack application development, databases, and compute infrastructure, with a strong understanding of Postgres, MySQL, and Vitess.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your message for different audiences.
A passion for community building and relationship development, with experience working with developers, engineers, or technical audiences.
Excellent writing and content creation skills, with the ability to produce engaging content that resonates with our community.
Familiarity with content management systems, web development frameworks, and digital marketing tools.
