Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to resolve technical issues, leveraging your expertise in edge computing and internet protocols.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to customers on optimizing their use of the Fastly platform, ensuring they get the most out of our services.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of knowledge bases, ensuring seamless internal handovers and efficient resolution of customer queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Development, to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, applying your knowledge to continuously improve our support processes and tools.
  • Document and share expertise with other teams through internal knowledge sharing and training initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical customer support, preferably in the field of edge computing or cloud operations.
  • Strong understanding of internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/2, QUIC), network fundamentals, and data transmission.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Programming experience in languages such as VCL, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent scripting skills).
  • Familiarity with serverless computing, container orchestration, and cloud-agnostic architecture.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, knowledge management tools, and documentation platforms.
