The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute credit underwriting strategies for SMB and commercial card programs, driving growth while minimizing risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement account management policies, spend controls, and line management processes.
- Own manual underwriting for new SMB and commercial card customers, using bureau data and cash flow analysis to make informed credit decisions.
- Build, review, and refine credit card risk origination strategies, including line assignment, spend controls, and account management policies.
- Proactively monitor portfolio performance and risk trends, making adjustments to credit card policies as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external bank partners and customers to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on SMB and commercial card programs.
- Strong credit underwriting skills, with experience in manual underwriting and account management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance or business.
- Certifications such as CAFP or CCO are a plus.
