Assistant General Counsel, Credit Cards

About the Role

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new credit products, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to inform business decisions and drive growth, while maintaining a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Analyze complex financial regulations and adapt them to inform product engineering and development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including bank executives, regulators, and industry associations.
• Advise on all aspects of credit card business, including origination, credit risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Identify and mitigate regulatory risks, ensuring the company's compliance with evolving financial regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school, with 7+ years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proven expertise in consumer financial services and credit card regulations, including credit card laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements.
