As an AI Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing agentic capabilities on top of a petabyte-scale observability platform. Our ideal candidate is passionate about building agents, designing skills, and wiring up MCP servers, and has hit the limits of generic copilots for production work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build agents that investigate incidents, surface anomalies, and answer questions like "why is product X down?".
- Design and implement skills that can propose root causes and generate concise summaries of incidents.
- Collaborate with the team to develop a unified framework for logging, metrics, traces, and session replays.
- Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable agent layer that can handle large volumes of data.
- Work closely with our developer experience team to ensure that our agents are easy to integrate and use.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI and Observability, and adapt our solution to meet evolving customer needs.
- Communicate technical ideas and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in building AI and machine learning systems, preferably in a cloud-based Observability platform.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and dialogue systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
