As an AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge AI-powered platforms that drive Airbnb's customer service experience. You will join a team of passionate individuals who strive to make a difference in the lives of our hosts and guests. In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to build scalable and robust solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of customer service technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop AI-powered platforms that support customer service operations.
  • Develop and maintain scalable AI models for natural language processing, machine learning, and other related technologies.
  • Ensure the integration of AI-powered platforms with existing systems, such as our customer service ticketing system.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support AI model development and validation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions to improve customer service efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues related to AI-powered platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields, or Master's degree with significant relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI development, including experience with deep learning and natural language processing.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++, as well as experience with relevant AI frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with cloud-based services, such as AWS or Google Cloud, and containerization technologies, such as Docker.
  • Excellence in communication and collaboration skills, with previous experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
