We're seeking a seasoned Account Executive with Japanese fluency to join our team in Tokyo. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with high-growth, under-penetrated mid-market businesses and help them scale and modernize their financial infrastructure using Stripe's innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new users and expand existing relationships with high-potential mid-market businesses.
  • Guide companies through the full sales lifecycle, uncovering pain points and driving long-term value using the Stripe product suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Solutions, Product, Post-Sales, and Sales Ops, to craft tailored strategies and execute at high velocity.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts to drive business growth and adoption.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Stripe's solutions to expand revenue.
  • Create and maintain sales reports to track key performance indicators and optimize sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor analysis, and product developments to continuously improve sales approach and tactics.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in a B2B or enterprise setting, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Fluency in Japanese and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of success in acquiring new business and expanding existing relationships.
  • Strong understanding of financial infrastructure, payments, and digital commerce solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to navigate complex sales environments, and think creatively to drive results.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, engineering).
